We’ve heard you loud and clear—you want more ways to connect with your community! That’s why we’re excited to introduce Comments on Map Points, a new feature that makes your maps more interactive than ever.

Now, your maps can be a dynamic space for conversation, feedback, and collaboration. Whether you're looking to spark public discussions, gather private insights, or manage everything with moderated conversations, this feature has you covered. Your map isn’t just a location tool—it’s a living, breathing experience that grows and evolves with the help of your community.

Why You’ll Love It

Public Comments: Let users share insights, ask questions, or even leave reviews! These open discussions create a sense of community engagement and can help build excitement around your map.

Private Comments: Ideal for gathering in-depth feedback or having conversations that are only visible to you or select users. You can fine-tune your map behind the scenes.

Moderated Discussions: Stay in control of your map’s conversations. With moderation tools, you can ensure that comments remain on-topic, respectful, and productive. You’ll have the ability to keep discussions constructive and prevent spam.

Use Cases for Comments on Map Points

Local Business Directories: If you’re creating a map of local businesses or attractions, public comments let users share their favorite spots and reviews, driving more engagement. Private comments, on the other hand, can give business owners a way to gather direct feedback from their customers.

Community Feedback: For community projects or neighborhood initiatives, use public comments to create a space for residents to discuss ideas and share opinions on ongoing projects.

Travel and Tourism Maps: Travelers can leave tips, recommend activities, or ask questions about certain places on a travel guide map. Public comments help to create a lively and interactive map, while private comments allow for more detailed suggestions on how to improve the travel experience.

Crowdsourced Maps: If you’re working on a map that collects data from users—like a crowdsourced map of hiking trails—comments give your community the chance to share personal experiences and updates, creating a valuable resource for everyone.

Reviews for Products and Services: For product or service-based maps, such as a map of restaurants, hotels, or attractions, public comments can act as user reviews. Customers can leave feedback, rate their experiences, or offer suggestions, which helps future users make informed decisions. Reviews boost engagement and credibility, and allow businesses or service providers to respond directly to their customers.
