It’s almost time to bid farewell to shorts season and make space for boots, comfy sweaters, and wool socks. Fall in Minneapolis is a sight to behold, with the leaves transitioning from dark greens to orange, red, and yellow hues. Something about Fall makes the air fresher, the city more colorful, and the weather a perfect blend of not-too-hot and not-too-cold. Some locals even celebrate a ‘fall day’ to rein in their favorite season. Minneapolis isn’t just called the city of nature for nothing- its vast expanse of Fall scenery and colors account for the fact with complete rigor.
Most individuals tend to overlook this activity, but don’t be one of them and book a train ticket to enjoy the best scenic beauty Minnesota has to offer. You can gasp and gaze at all sorts of fall colors throughout the state. We recommended checking out Osceola and St. Croix Valley Riverway, which is situated 50 minutes away from the Twin Cities. This hour-and-a-half route covers Osceola, Wisconsin, and St. Croix through the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway.
If this sounds like too much to you because you just want to partake in fall activities, you also have the option of hopping aboard the Dresser Pumpkin Express. It’s a 25-minute shuttle to Dresser, Wisconsin, where you can opt to go pumpkin picking and visit a winery. Take the Lake Superior and Mississippi Railroad line for the most spectacular Fall view. It’s a 2-hour ride showcasing all the autumn colors you can think of.
Nothing marks the start of Fall like wandering through a local orchard with a bag of freshly picked apples in one hand and apple cider in the other. The Twin Cities are brimming with apple orchards that openly invite outsiders to come and choose their own apples. Just the thought of selecting a crisp, honey-red colored apple right off its tree puts us in a good mood.
But wait, it gets better because these places are also typically a den for other Fall festivities. There are gift shops laden with apple-baked delectables, petting zoos, wagon rides, and maybe some exciting competitions to sign up for if you look hard enough.
The Severs Corn Maze is one of Minnesota’s most renowned corn mazes, including a beer garden, pig races, a market, and live music. In recent years, they’re facing competition from Brooklyn Park’s Twin Cities Harvest Festival, claiming to have the biggest corn maze statewide. Even though we don’t know which corn maze is actually more extensive, we’re sure both are worth exploring and entail various fun-filled experiences.
If you like setting on adventures, you’ll undoubtedly want to check this event out. The Boats and Bluegrass festival is a camping festival incorporating paddle trips across the Mississippi River backwaters with live bluegrass music. Buy the tickets now before they sell out! It’s an escapade you won’t regret.
